Ryan Anderson has been involved with music since receiving his first Casio keyboard in the early 1980s. He became active in the Detroit space-rock scene of the 1990s when he joined Asha Vida, and later Füxa and Delta Waves. During his time in Füxa, Ryan launched the Masstransfer zine to capture the bands and music he was interacting with while on tour or helping with the Mind Expansion record label.
In the 2010s, Ryan started a music blog called Outersound Underground, which evolved into the Sonixcursions blog and podcast later in the decade. He plans to keep that going into the foreseeable future.
Ryan lives in Ann Arbor, Michigan, with his two kids. He has been a technology consultant for the past two decades, and applies that knowledge to promoting under-appreciated music.
